Bruno von der Jakobshöhe

17 March 1999 – 1 November 2004

Bruno was our family’s first dog. His gentle, easy-going and invariably cheerful nature soon made him an irreplaceable member of the family.

He went everywhere with us, became a loyal companion to our children and their friends, and even served as the mascot of our son Matthias’s football team. Bruno also enjoyed success at SSV and DCBS dog shows, bringing home several trophies. We were immensely proud of him, and he brought great happiness to us all.

Sadly, fate was not kind to him. On 6 October 2004, Bruno suffered a slipped disc. When conservative treatment brought little improvement, surgery eventually became unavoidable. Although the operation itself was initially successful, he was already severely weakened and did not recover. Bruno passed away far too soon, aged just five years, seven months and fifteen days.

Dear Bruno, you left us three weeks before Finn joined our family. We wish we could have had so much more time with you. Thank you for the many wonderful moments we shared; we will treasure them forever.

We miss you more than words can say, and we will never forget you.
